Tallassee is a thriving and exciting city, combining the old with the new.  We are proud of our heritage.  For those who are considering a place to live, work, and raise a family or retire, start a new business or industry, Tallassee is an excellent choice.  Location, recreation, education, and leisure activities, along with the essentials such as safe neighborhoods, excellent city school system, outstanding healthcare and thriving industry with a highly productive workforce, work together to make Tallassee a city for all ages.

Tallassee is committed to industrial development and growth.   The City has recently completed a 3.4 million dollar project to upgrade our water filter plant from 2.9 million gallon per day facility to a 4.0 million gallon per day facility.  The City's sewer lagoons are of sufficient size to handle additional waste water.  WIth the addition to the filter plant, the City will have more than ample resources to supply the water and water treatment needs of any industry which decides to locate here.  The CIty offers natural gas at competitive prices for the area.   Our three (3) industrial parks offer not only the room for an industry to locate in Tallassee, but also room for that industry to grow once they have located here.

The office of the Mayor and City Council stand behind the Chamber of Commerce and Industrial Development Board in their efforts to attract new business, industry, and residents to Tallassee.

Sincerely,

Robert E. Payne, Mayor
