Horace Jefferson Totty, 87, U. S. A. F. Retired, a long time resident of Montgomery, AL, passed away suddenly on November 13, 2008.  Mr. Totty was born in Elmore County on September 1, 1921 and is preceded in death by two sons, William K. Totty and Edwin K. Totty.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Edwina Wallace Totty of Montgomery, AL; one son, Jerry Totty of West Point, GA; daughter-in-law, Margaret Totty of Homestead, FL; and three grandchildren, Laura Totty of San Diego CA, Timothy Totty of Montgomery, AL and Sara Totty of Homestead, FL.

Mr. Totty served 20 years in the U. S. Air Force serving during three different wars, WW II, Korea and Viet Nam.  After retiring from the Air Force, Mr. Totty moved back to Montgomery and was employed by the Alabama Board of Corrections where he also retired after 20 years.  

Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm, Sunday, November 16, 2008 at Jeffcoat-Linville Funeral Home with Rev. Herman Knapp officiating.  Visitation will be two hours before funeral, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Jeffcoat-Linville Funeral Home.
